Paang Sida National Park is located at Taryaek sub-district, Muang district, Srakaew province. It has 527,500 rais or about 260,000 acres of area covering Tapraya, Wattanakorn, Muang district, Srakaew province, and Nadi district, Prachinburi province. Most parts of this park are canyons and hills, blanketed by jungles, groves, and forests. These kinds of forests are homes to many species of wildlife and also homes to many species of rare birds. Species of wildlife here are elephants, wild buffaloes, tigers, hornbills, peacocks, etc. which make this place a paradise for biologists and nature enthusiasts. Paang Sida Falls. This falls is 800 meters far from the office of this park. It is a cliff waterfall which is 8 meters high. The pond of this waterfall is the best place for relaxation.
Patakian Falls. It is 2.5 kilometers far from Paang Sida Falls. It is 20 meters high and in rainy season this waterfall will be like a water curtain which is most beautiful. It is a destination that you should not miss.
Butapord Fields. This place is a buffet table for many kinds of animals. The entrance of this place is at the 3rd kilometer point and the 6th kilometer point of the park’s road. This is a greatest place to observe animals’ behaviors.
View point. The view point of this park is on the 25th kilometer and the 35th kilometer points of the park. These viewpoints let visitors see the vast valley of this park and watch the sunset behind the mountain range.
Kwaemaka Falls. This waterfall is on the 40th kilometer point of the road and visitors have to walk for another 6 kilometers to get there. This is a place for adventurers, truly. And there is another waterfall nearby, the Raksainoi Falls which is 500 meters far from Kwaemaka Falls.
To travel to this park, visitors can take route 3462 from Srakaew city northward. The distance is about 27 kilometers. Or visitors can use the hired pickup truck (Srakaew-Baan Klongnamkeaw) to the park. This park opens daily from 6.00 to 20.00. The fee here is 200 Baht for adults and 100 Baht for children. How to get there :
A Song Thaeo, routing Sa Kaeo – Ban Khlong Nam Khiao is provided from the bus terminal from 9.00 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. The total distance is 27 kilometres to the Office of the National Park. The fare is 25 Baht a person, or the Song Thaeo rental fee is 300 Baht.
The Bangkok – Aranyaprathet Train runs to Sa Kaeo Railway Station. Then, continue by taking a Sa Kaeo – Ban Khlong Nam Khiao bus for approximately 27 kilometres to the Office of the National Park.
From Mueang Sa Kaeo, take Highway No. 3462 to the north for 27 kilometres. The park will be on the right side.
