Patravadi Theatreâ€™s Fringe Festival will be in its 10th edition in 2010. Originated in Bangkok in 1999, the festival has built a reputed platform where international artists meet Thai artists and audience. Last year, the Festival has stepped out to meet new communities and created an unprecedented art event in the Chet Samien village of Ratchaburi. The Fringe Festival 2010 @ Hua Hin will mark a new stage of performing arts in Thailand with the inauguration of art complex Vic Hua Hin. An imaginative landscape comprising of the a variety of performing spaces and facilities â€“ Vic Hua Hin (an energy-smart indoor theatre), Dome Dokmai (a outdoor dome with flowers crawling to its top), Art Camp (handmade igloo-like sculpture/accomodation), Promenade (an open performance space) â€“ Vic Hua Hin aspires not only to enhance the cultural life of the idyllic Hua Hin, but also to become the hub of performing arts in the region, generating creative synergies of various cultures and traditions. Together with the opening of the neighbouring Patravadi High School which due to open in May 2010, Vic Hua Hin will commit to the development of a creative and artistic Thailand.
